1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for SmartSchool Management System, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with registration.
2. Subscription & Payment
The subscription fee is KES 200 per student per term (4 months). Payment must be made in full before account activation. All fees are non-refundable once the subscription period has started.
3. Account Responsibility
As the school administrator, you are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring all data entered into the system is accurate and lawful
- Compliance with applicable data protection laws regarding student information
4. Data Privacy & Security
SmartSchool takes data security seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, you are responsible for implementing appropriate internal policies regarding access to student information.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the system for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Upload malicious code or content that could harm the system
- Share your login credentials with unauthorized personnel
6. Service Availability
While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
7. Termination
SmartSchool reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, data may be retained for a period as required by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
SmartSchool shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our system, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
